Mental Health Support Team
The Mental Health Support Team is there to provide practical support to students experiencing mental health difficulties and liaise with staff about appropriate practical or pastoral support.
If you are a student of the University and mental health difficulties are affecting your ability to study, then they may be able to help. If you are a member of staff or colleague supporting a student experiencing mental health difficulties, they are also here to offer you advice.
The Mental Health Support Team provide support by helping you evaluate the practical impact that mental health difficulties may be having on you as a student. They can talk through the support needs you feel you may have and address these directly or through referral to other services.
Members of the Team are active participants in the University Mental Health Advisers Network (UMHAN) which aims to share good practice and influence developments across the sector.
